Our Story Featured in Wadokei Magazine No. 2
We are pleased to share that Fukushima Watch Company has been featured in Wadokei Magazine No. 2, a French-language print magazine dedicated to Japanese watchmaking.
Wadokei is an independent, non-profit association created by enthusiasts of Japanese watches and Japanese culture. Through its magazine, events, podcast, and editorial content, Wadokei introduces the depth of Japanese watchmaking not only through the watches themselves, but also through the people, communities, and stories behind them.
In its second issue, Wadokei takes readers on a journey through the Tohoku region, featuring Minase and Fukushima Watch Co as examples of how watchmaking can be deeply connected to local history and communities.
For us, this feature is especially meaningful.
Fukushima Watch Company is based in Odaka, Minamisoma, Fukushima — a town where time once seemed to stop after the events of 2011, and where a new chapter has gradually begun. Through our watches, we hope to carry forward the stories of this place, its people, and the renewed movement of time.
We are sincerely grateful to the Wadokei team for visiting, listening, and sharing our story with readers in France and beyond.
