mirco
What if Japanese mechanical watches had continued to evolve along their own path?
mirco is a Japanese mechanical watch brand born from a question: What if Japanese mechanical watches had continued to evolve along their own path?
Looking beyond the shift to quartz, mirco imagines another possible evolution of Japanese mechanical watchmaking and gives it form in contemporary watches.
About mirco
The Quartz Crisis of 1969 had a profound impact on Japan’s watch industry.
What path might Japanese mechanical watches have taken if the industry had not shifted toward quartz movements?
More than half a century later, mirco reimagines the styles of that era from its own perspective, setting the hands of Japanese mechanical watchmaking in motion once again.
A watch that connects the future and the past—that is mirco.
TYPE-02
The origin of mirco, unveiled at Baselworld in 2019.
TYPE-02 is mirco’s first collection, inspired by the racing chronographs of the 1970s.
Its 42 mm stainless-steel case houses a Japanese-made automatic chronograph movement, paired with a two-register dial, date display, tachymeter, and 100-metre water resistance.
Available in five color variations, TYPE-02 brings together bold case architecture, mechanical character, and everyday practicality.
TYPE-03
A mechanical diver’s watch inspired by traditional Japanese colors.
TYPE-03 brings colors historically used in Japanese clothing, crafts, and architecture to its dial and bezel.
Its 42 mm stainless-steel case offers 200-metre water resistance, while the slim middle case and five-piece bracelet provide a comfortable, refined fit.
Available in five color variations, TYPE-03 combines the functionality of a diving watch with mirco’s distinctive approach to color and design.
