About Fukushima Watch Company

Based in Odaka, Minamisoma, Fukushima, Fukushima Watch Company is a watch brand that carries the memories of place and the everyday lives of its people into each watch.

Fukushima has experienced the Great East Japan Earthquake and the nuclear accident. Yet its story is not only about what was lost. Its landscapes and culture continue to be passed down, while new ways of living are taking shape.

We look closely at these stories of place and express them through the colors, designs, and names of our watches.

Designed to be enjoyed across generations and regardless of gender, our watches combine comfortable proportions with colors that can be naturally incorporated into everyday life.

Inspired by Odaka, the district of Minamisoma where Fukushima Watch Company is based, the Odaka series carries local stories into an understated small-seconds design.

Its compact 36 mm case and Japanese-made automatic movement make it comfortable and dependable for everyday wear.

A range of colors inspired by the area gives each watch its own distinctive character.

Futaba

Memories of Futaba, and a vision for its future.

Futaba is inspired by Futaba Town in Fukushima Prefecture. The collection was designed by researching the town’s former landscapes and everyday life, while imagining the community that will take shape in the years ahead.

Its classic silhouette is complemented by distinctive two-tone dials, a polished stainless-steel case and bracelet, and a skeleton case back.

The compact 34 mm unisex case houses a Japanese-made automatic movement, combining refined design with reliability for everyday wear.

A portion of the proceeds from Futaba watches supports initiatives working toward the town’s future.
