Our-Home

Odaka is our home, where time begins again.
Our Home:Odaka, Minamisoma, Fukushima
Our Origin, Connected to the Future

A Town of Tradition
Odaka, where we are based, is located in the southern part of Minamisoma City in Fukushima Prefecture, along the Pacific coast. It was once a thriving castle town, known for its skilled craftsmanship and rich traditional culture.
However, in March 2011, the Great East Japan Earthquake and the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster forced residents of 11 municipalities across Fukushima Prefecture to evacuate. Odaka was one of them.
For nearly six years afterward, the town remained uninhabited—wrapped in silence, a place where no one could live.
And yet, within that stillness, the rhythms of life slowly began to return.

A New Wind Blows Through Odaka
Over a decade later, a fresh wind is now blowing through Odaka. People who once left have returned. Others have come for the first time. Together, they are shaping a new future—one built on hope, resilience, and a deep respect for the past. Odaka is once again a place where time begins to move forward.

Crafted in Spirit, Rooted in Odaka, Minamisoma, Fukushima
Our watches are deeply connected to this land. While not all of our manufacturing takes place here, it’s where our inspiration begins, where ideas take shape, and where our story unfolds. The spirit of this town—its memories, natural beauty, and the craftsmanship of its people—lives in every timepiece we create.

From Odaka, Minamisoma, Fukushima to the World—Crafting Meaningful Time
We hope to share this place with the world, and to one day see it recognized as a sacred home of watchmaking—just as Geneva is to Switzerland.
At Fukushima Watch Company, we don’t just make watches. We craft meaningful time—for this town, for Japan, and for you.

“What kind of future will you walk together with this watch?”
With that question close to our hearts, we continue to craft time from Odaka, toward the future.
The quiet townscape and rich nature of Odaka, slowly returning to life.

Odaka’s traditions and culture, passed down for generations, still live on today.
