1. Overview
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase from Fukushima Watch Company Co., Ltd. (“Fukushima Watch Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
This Return & Refund Policy explains how to request a return, refund, or withdrawal for items purchased through our online store.
Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer rights that may apply under applicable law, including any statutory rights available to consumers in the European Union.
2. Return Eligibility
Except where mandatory consumer protection laws apply, we accept return requests within 7 days of delivery only for:

Items damaged in transit

Items with manufacturing defects

Items shipped in error, such as the wrong model, colour, or quantity
We do not accept returns or exchanges for customer preference, such as colour perception, size, or “changed mind”, except where the EU right of withdrawal or other mandatory consumer protection laws apply.
3. EU Customers – Right of Withdrawal
If you are a consumer located in the European Union, you may have the right to withdraw from your online purchase within 14 days from the day on which you, or a third party indicated by you, receives the goods, without giving any reason.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, please use our electronic withdrawal form available through the “Right of Withdrawal” link in the footer of our online store. You may also contact us at info@fwc.co.jp.
After submitting the withdrawal form, you will receive an automatic confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your withdrawal request.
If you exercise your right of withdrawal, you must return the goods to us without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day on which you informed us of your decision to withdraw.
Unless the item is defective, damaged, or incorrectly shipped, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods. Please mark the parcel and customs paperwork as “Returned goods – no commercial value”.
If you withdraw from the contract, we will refund the eligible payment amount to the original payment method. We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods or until you have provided evidence that you have sent back the goods, whichever is earlier.
Returned goods must be handled only as necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning. You may be responsible for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling beyond what is necessary for that purpose.
For bracelet resizing, customers must return all removed links, pins, parts, accessories, and documents together with the product. Any missing parts, scratches, signs of wear, or handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the product may result in a deduction for diminished value.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to order or clearly personalised, engraved items, or goods that have been irreversibly adjusted to the customer’s specifications, where permitted by applicable law. The right of withdrawal may also not apply to other items excluded by applicable law.
4. Conditions for Return
Unless the EU right of withdrawal or other mandatory consumer rights apply, returned products must meet the following conditions:

The product must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.

All protective films, tags, accessories, warranty card, documents, and original packaging must be intact.

A valid proof of purchase, such as an order number or receipt, is required.
For EU withdrawal cases, the customer may inspect the product only to the extent necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, and functioning. Any handling beyond this may result in a deduction for diminished value.
If a bracelet has been resized, all removed links, pins, parts, accessories, and documents must be returned together with the product. Missing parts, scratches, signs of wear, or other diminished value may be deducted from the refund amount, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
5. How to Initiate a Return or Withdrawal

Our support team will reply within two business days with return instructions and, where applicable, an RMA number.
For EU withdrawal requests, please use the “Right of Withdrawal” link in the footer of our online store. The form may request your name, order number, email address, and the items for which you wish to exercise your right of withdrawal.
6. Return Shipping Costs & Customs Declaration
For eligible returns due to defect, damage, or shipping error, Fukushima Watch Company will issue a return label or reimburse reasonable return postage, depending on destination and carrier availability.
For EU withdrawal requests that are not due to defect, damage, or shipping error, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods, unless otherwise required by law.
Please mark the parcel and customs paperwork as:
“Returned goods – no commercial value”
Any duties or taxes charged to Fukushima Watch Company due to an incorrect declaration may be deducted from the refund amount, to the extent permitted by law.
Returns that do not meet the eligibility criteria may be refused and shipped back at the customer’s expense, except where mandatory consumer rights apply.

7. Inspection & Approval
Returned items are inspected within 7 business days of arrival.
Approved cases proceed to replacement or refund as described below.
For EU withdrawal requests, we may withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods or until the customer has provided evidence that the goods have been sent back, whichever is earlier.
If the returned product, including any resized bracelet, shows signs of wear, scratches, missing links, missing pins, missing accessories, missing documents, or handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the product, we may deduct the diminished value from the refund amount, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
8. Refunds
Refunds are issued to the original payment method.
Please allow up to 10 business days for your bank, card issuer, or payment provider to post the credit after we process the refund.
For returns caused by Fukushima Watch Company’s fault, such as defect, damage, or shipping error, original outbound shipping fees are refunded when the entire order is returned.
For EU withdrawal cases, we will refund the eligible payment amount required by applicable law. However, we may not be required to refund supplementary delivery costs resulting from your choice of a delivery method other than the least expensive standard delivery method offered by us.
Duties, import taxes, VAT, and customs or brokerage fees paid at checkout or on delivery are non-refundable, unless required by law or unless such charges were collected by us and must be refunded under applicable law.
9. Exchanges
We do not offer direct exchanges.
If you need a different model, please place a new order after your return is approved and refunded.
This does not limit any mandatory consumer rights that may apply.
10. Non-Returnable Items
Except where mandatory consumer rights apply, the following items are non-returnable:

Products showing signs of wear, alteration, or misuse, such as scratches, damage, or improper bracelet resizing

Products with missing links, pins, parts, accessories, warranty card, documents, or original packaging

Sale or clearance items marked “Final Sale”

Gift cards or downloadable products

Items returned without an authorised RMA number, when required

Goods made to order or clearly personalised

Engraved items
-
Goods that have been irreversibly adjusted to the customer’s specifications, where permitted by applicable law
This section does not limit any statutory rights that may apply to EU consumers, including the statutory right of withdrawal where applicable.
11. Manufacturer’s Warranty
At present, the manufacturer’s warranty is provided for Japan domestic sales only.
Warranty coverage and terms are described in the warranty card enclosed with eligible products and are separate from this Return & Refund Policy.
This does not limit any mandatory consumer rights that may apply under applicable law.
12. Cooling-Off Notice
Mail-order purchases are not subject to Japan’s cooling-off provisions under the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions.
For consumers located in the European Union, the statutory right of withdrawal described in the section “EU Customers – Right of Withdrawal” may apply.
