“Futaba” is a model inspired by Futaba Town in Fukushima Prefecture—a town that, until August 2022, had been under a government‑mandated evacuation order since the 2011 disaster. Once home to over 7,000 residents, the town now has only around 200 people resettled as it begins its long path toward recovery.
Each watch in this collection was designed while researching the town’s former lifestyle and imagining its future. It reflects a quiet strength and hope for renewal through thoughtful design.
While grounded in a classic silhouette, the watch features distinctive two‑tone dial designs, a polished mirror finish, and a skeleton case‑back that express both modern sophistication and the region’s enduring spirit.
