“Futaba” is a model inspired by Futaba Town in Fukushima Prefecture—a town that, until August 2022, had been under a government-mandated evacuation order since the 2011 disaster. Once home to over 7,000 residents, the town now has only around 200 people resettled as it begins its long path toward recovery.
This model was designed while researching the former lifestyle and landscapes of Futaba Town and imagining the town's future. While based on a classic design, it features distinctive two-tone dial variations that emphasize its unique character. The case and bracelet have a mirror finish, blending sophisticated urban aesthetics with the region's history. The color names, which reflect Futaba Town's unique landscapes and culture, give this model special significance. With a unisex 34mm diameter case and skeleton caseback, this automatic watch features the Japanese-made CITIZEN MIYOTA "Cal.82S0" movement, combining reliability with durability.
