This is the second installment in mirco’s line paying homage to mechanical watches from the 1960s to 1970s, a period when Japanese watches were transitioning to quartz technology.
This automatic diver’s watch features traditional Japanese colors, with this model highlighting Kurumizome, or “Traditional Walnut Brown” — a subdued, earthy brown tone often seen in dyed kimono fabrics. Both the dial and bezel disk have an anodized aluminum finish to express understated elegance unique to Japan.
It is a diver’s watch with 200m water resistance. Although the case size is 42mm, the slim middle case design ensures that it doesn’t feel overly thick. The fine five-piece bracelet structure comfortably conforms to the wrist, giving a sporty yet urban impression.
