Inspired by Odaka, a district in Minamisoma City, Fukushima—home to Fukushima Watch Company—the “Odaka” model is a classic small-seconds automatic timepiece. With three new colors added to the existing five, the series now features a full lineup of eight color variations. Each model adopts color themes inspired by agricultural products rooted in the culture and landscape of Minamisoma, expressed through the dial and strap.
Among them, Grape Purple is inspired by the emerging landscape of vineyards and winemaking that has slowly taken root in Odaka in the years following the 2011 disaster. In this town, long-standing traditions and new challenges coexist. One such example is the vineyard scenery spreading quietly across a corner of the community. The sight of the vines changing color with the seasons has become a gentle symbol of a new chapter beginning here.
The time and care it takes for a young vine to grow and for a single bunch of grapes to ripen speaks to a quiet determination—
a belief in cultivating the future once again from this place.
